Featuring Central Theater Arts Academy (CTAA) and its past plays, Fine Arts teacher Jamie Stroud and students Senior Daniel Bayot and Sophomore Nicholas Howe were invited to be interviewed and featured on former Hawaii representative Marilyn Lee’s “Kukui Connection” on channel 54. “I think it’s important that people know about them,” said Lee of the program, continuing, “(People) should know about the positive things that are happening and I think CTAA is one of (them).” On her show, Stroud and her two acting students talked of the effects that past plays performed at MHS have had on the school as well as the upcoming spring musical “The Sound of Music”. The show was recorded at Leilehua High School’s Olelo studio on Dec. 4.
