A glimpse into the sights of Itsukushima Shrine, junior Ryley Agsalda sits on the lookout of Miyajima Island’s torri gates off of the Hiroshima prefecture. Students were able to walk out to the torri gates since the island was at low tide; if it was high tide the gate would appear as if it was floating on top of the ocean.

During the Oahu Interscholastic Association (OIA) Championship finals of the women’s 100 yard butterfly, Belise Swartwood takes home first place with a time of 56.56 seconds. This was one of four first place titles that Swartwood earned during the championship.

Trojans win Semi-finals, secure spot for OIA championship game

FootballThe Red Raiders from Kahuku High School went head to head against the Mililani Trojans at the Oahu Interscholastic Association (OIA) semi-final game. The game, which was held at the Aloha Stadium on Oct. 24, gave the Trojans a chance at redemption from their 13-50 loss at last year’s championship game. The final score was 37-22 which secured their spot for the Hawaii High School Athletic Association State Tournament and a spot in the OIA championship game to be held on Nov. 1.
