New Teacher: Mrs. Nicole Walker Acreneaux

By Kimberly Yamaguchi

Q: What do you hope to accomplish as a  teacher here?
A: To establish meaningful relationships with the students.  And to support their learning and hopefully make an impact in their lives to becoming responsible adults.

Q:Favorite food?
A: My favorite food is probably any type of Mexican food.  Or anything spicy.

Q: What’s your favorite movie?
A: Probably What Happens in Vegas.

Q: If you could have any super power what would it be?
A: If I could have any super power.  Honestly, just being able to, if I didn’t have to sleep and I could just keep doing what I needed to do. Or, actually, have someone that could just like clean.  To have magical powers to have someone clean and cook for me.  That would be good.  No sleep, someone to clean and cook.  A smart house or something would be nice.
Q: What’s your greatest fear?
A: My greatest fear…cockroaches.  No. I don’t know.  What do I fear?  Let me think.  Gosh, that’s a hard one.  Cockroaches and I guess if I’m thinking a little bit deeper, just fear of failing my kids.  You know what I mean?  I don’t want to fail them. You know like impact them in a negative way.

Q: Growing up did you always want to be a teacher?
A: No, I actually wanted to be a dentist.
