Despite the fact that Winter Guard International (WGI) held competitions virtually in the 2021 season, the Mililani High School (MHS) Winterguard competed in the Open Class division. WGI is an association that hosts regional competitions for percussion ensembles, small marching bands, and color guard. As for the Open Class division, it is one of the three classes that teams can compete in at WGI, the first being A Class, the second being Open Class, and the third being World Class. Starting from the A class, each class becomes progressively more competitive. After the MHS Winterguard competed against 400 high school teams and submitted their performance in the fourth preliminary round on March 22, they progressed to the semifinal round.

Freshman Adriana Bulay, Junior Aiden Miarecki, Sophomore Alyssa Rabanal, Freshman Amber Tamondong, Junior Anthony Tom, Sophomore Caitlyn Aoki, Sophomore Denali DeAlmeida, Junior Elizabeth Yoshino, Senior Isabella Gismundo-Hook, Freshman Jade McMillan-Chau, Senior Jaden Mattison, Junior Jenna Kim, Senior Maria Bongiorno, Junior Paige Thomas, Freshman Rory Pasion, Sophomore Rylie Wakumoto, Sophomore Shania Souza, Sophomore Tasha Aihara, and Senior Taylie Navares will be participating in the semifinal round.
