MORE THAN AN AWARD. MHS alumni Alex and Cyrus Noveloso scored second place in the Mobile Robotics Category at the National Leadership and Skills Conference, winning both their medals and the hearts of their audience, along with fellow alumnae Lydia Strickland and Christine Svrcina, who earned First Place in the Promotional Bulletin Board Category. In the aftermath of the event, the brothers were in for a surprise when they were given an offer that rewarded all the work they put into the competition. SkillsUSA member Senior Courtney Gima said, “They ended up actually selling their robot that they made. So they actually got scouted out and acknowledged.”
