EVENTS FOR CHANGE. From July 2nd to the 5th the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) went to Washington, D.C. to compete at the national level in the categories of Star Events and Culinary while supporting different causes like texting and driving awareness and different charities. they got medals ranging from gold to silver. The experience of travelling and competing in D.C. awarded members valuable experiences and creating lasting connections. FCCLA President Erika Ryckman said, “It was pretty cool, it was just a good experience overall to see what it’s like in the mainland.”
