A STUDENT STEPS UP. Upon hearing about the new position for Student Representative for the Board of Education, Senior Brennan Lee immediately applied by working with Student Activities Coordinator Janet Ward-Riehle and was selected. He now attends the bi-monthly meetings on the first and third Tuesday of every month at the Queen Kapiolani building and provides student perspectives on important issues. Lee was apprehensive at first, but still determined to make a difference. “I was nervous and I kept telling myself you can do this, take it one day at a time. I always focus on what I can do better, what I can do next time to speak better. Slowly, I think I’m getting better,” Lee said.
